Confidential Information
Confidential information is information you submit as an application including, but not limited to social security number (s), passport number (s), drivers license number (s), credit information to include credit or debit card number (s), checking account number (s), and referral or reference contact information.

PROTECTION OF INFORMATION

Our policies and procedures are designed to safeguard your information, and will not be shared with any third party other than non profit organization partners dedicated to mental health research, and development of programs to better diagnose, effectively treat, and find cures for any and all brain diseases.  Any sharing of your information with other organization partners will require their reasonable efforts to protect the information.

With respect to the expectation of privacy held by contributors with regard to personal and financial information, the Foundation will not share publicly certain information including, but not limited to, the following:

Information pertaining to donors, whether personal, financial, biographical, or gift related, other than as authorized by the donor.

Lists, data, and other confidential and/or proprietary information that if publicly disclosed might jeopardize the Foundation’s ability to most effectively and successfully fulfill its mission.

Personnel records of Foundation employees, and other information that might infringe on an employee’s reasonable expectation of privacy, other than information that is required to be disclosed by law.

The Foundation may from time to time use your information for various reasons, including, but not limited to the following:

We may use (1) User Information for purposes of contacting you regarding your interest in the Veteran Mental Health Foundation, providing services you request, customizing our website and improving your experience and ours, (2) Technical Information for operating, administering and improving our sites and to customize your experience, (3) Confidential Application Information for the purpose of facilitating your transaction with a financial service provider (s), (4) we may share your information in response to a valid law enforcement request or legal process to protect our third party interests or property or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

OPT OUT

The Foundation provides you with the opportunity to remove your information from our database, and to opt out of receiving most communications from us, and/or our partner organizations by sending us an opt out request from the Contact Us page of our website, or to info@veteranmentalhealthfoundation.org.  You may not opt out of sharing your information to comply with valid law enforcement requests, legal process, to protect the Foundation’s interests or property or those of third parties or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

YOUR AGREEMENT

When you provide Information through the Foundation’s website, you acknowledge receipt of and signify your agreement to this Privacy Policy and any future modifications or amendments the Foundation may make.  If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, do not provide us with Information.  The Foundation Privacy Policy is continuously available online for you to check and review any changes.  The Foundation will inform you of material modifications to this Privacy Policy in the future by posting changes on our website, or by sending you an email notification wherever appropriate.
